Undergraduate Degree Programs

Undergraduate studies last 8 (eight) semesters, i.e. 4 (four) academic years, and are completed by successfully passing at least 31 exams, i.e. by earning at least 240 credits and preparing a diploma thesis (Statute of UKIM ).

Students of undergraduate studies have the right to complete their studies according to the conditions and the study program under which they enrolled, no longer than a period that is twice the prescribed duration of the studies. If, after the expiration of this deadline, the study program is terminated, the student may transfer the credits earned for certain courses to another study program.

Within the framework of ECTS, the general rule is that 60 credits represent the (optimal) workload for one academic year, i.e. 30 credits are equivalent to one semester.

The total number of enrolled credits during a semester should be between 21 and 35 credits. Students with an average grade above 8.5 may enroll in up to 40 credits in one semester.

Curriculum 2008/2009

According to the Accreditation of the Curriculum 2008/2009, during their studies the student must pass 23 compulsory courses and at least 8 elective courses, while earning a minimum of 240 credits.

Departments:


Curriculum 2012/2013

According to the Accreditation of the Curriculum 2012/2013, during their studies the student must pass:

  • 19 compulsory courses (60% of the total number of courses),
  • 9 elective courses from the list of elective courses at the Faculty of Economics (30% of the total number of courses),
  • 3 elective courses chosen from the list of courses at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, which also includes courses from the Faculty of Economics (10% of the total number of courses).

Students in the first year choose elective courses from the list of electives at the Faculty of Economics, which in the numerical part of the course code begin with the number 1 (example: MGT 120).
Students in the second year choose courses whose numerical code begins with 1 and/or 2 (example: MGT 240 and/or MGT 120), etc.
